Hello world! Updates

1. Back in Mumbai/Dombivli
2. Completed first quarter at my new job! felt this as an acheivement ;)
3. Found running track of 3.5 km and back to running schedule. Looking forward for Delhi Half marathon in November and Mumbai Full marathon in January
4. Local train commuting has again started. :( Sad part, I have to commute more to reach my office this time than I used to do 2 yrs back. Interestingly, in a day, I use almost all available means of transport – auto, train, bus, taxi and elevator!
5. Music is my only companion this time while traveling. Missing my train friend – Prathamesh – Dadu are you listening…
6. Somehow I have started liking hard metal rock…Metallica is now my favourite, replacing Creed and Byran Adams
7. Frantic – by Metallica is now my favourite song replacing – Nothing else matters… I think that Frantic must have been composed in Mumbai Local Train. One should experience this song at full headset volumes while traversing Mumbai traffic!
8. No Internet connection at home for last 3 months..hence the drought of posts.
9. Internet on Mobile is The next big thing..I have got Vodofone mobile connect subscription and now online 24X7 through my cellphone.. Mobile applications rocks!
10. No treks :( terrible heat this time..hopefully would do one small trek this monsoon. Somehow, running has taken over trekking. No regrets.

श्री रामचँद्र कृपालु भजु मन

I was sitting in my room, when I heard some verses which sounded very familiar to me. Somebody in the neighboring was doing his prayers. The verses reminded me of my childhood. My dad used to recite these verse during sleep time, while he used to run his hands through my hairs. It used to so much comforting and I used to fell asleep even before he completed the entire poetry.

Somehow even while I read these verses, I feel the same comfort. I am an atheist, the verses is in praise of Ram. But these words do have some soothing effect, atleast for me. Did I tell you, these verses did have my name in them, I always found it exciting as a child :) [Read more →]

Running tracks around XLRI

running tracks around XLRI - Jubilee Park

Today I had a 4 km run in the Jubilee park for one last time, before I leave XLRI. The climate very much humid and cloudy, I just hoped it would rain (it dint). These tracks had been my companion for last 2 years, specially the last year of my training for marathon.

These two years, I had ventured on various running tracks. My constant desire to run longer took me along various routes, however with availability of water in Jubliee park along road, I did my most of running inside Jubilee park. [Read more →]
